I haven't posted for a while but that doesn't mean I've forgotten all about book 4. I'm still working on it along with another Nomad book based on Bray and Gryffin's background. Life is seriously hectic right now but I am 100% committed to continuing with the series. A lot of exciting stuff happens in book 4 and I really want to do it justice.
To keep you going, I've included a small snippet from my 2nd favourite character, Garvan. The more time I spend with this guy the more I love him.
Garvan lies back and rests his head on his hands. ‘You don’t think anyone could survive the kind of stuff you put Gryffin through and come away with all their brain cells in the same order. Me on the other hand, I’m as sane as they come. Spending a few years locked in what you affectionately called a prison, for something I didn’t do… well, it gave me clarity.’ He turns his head slightly to look at One. ‘It’s kind of ironic if you think about it. If you hadn’t thrown me in Tyrat I wouldn’t be the man I am today. I worked hard to survive - mentally and physically. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I’m stronger mentally than Gryffin. The fact that I was an adult helped me deal a little better, but your actions resulted in me being a bigger problem than you could have ever imagined. The old me couldn’t have cared less about who your parents are or your position, title or any of that meaningless fluff. I just wanted to get on with my life. But this new me…’ Garvan sits up to look him in the eye. One takes an involuntary step back. ‘You see, this new improved me has one objective. That objective is carved in to the core of my being and there’s not a damn thing you can do to me that will ever stop me carrying it out.’ ‘And what’s that exactly,’ One asks before he can stop himself. ‘Keep up Harvey. I plan on killing you mate. I’m going to look into your piggy eyes as your fat chest rises and falls for the last time. And I’m gong to be smiling as I do it.’
